Everyone says, “Flatten the curve.” But there are two curves. We all know the main one: the spread of coronavirus. The other curve is the spread of psychological viruses; fear, anxiety, worry and panic. We’re all experiencing Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. We started out attacking each other for basic items like toilet paper, then we moved on to connection (Zoom calls and FaceTime), but how do we get to the top of the pyramid (i.e. self-actualization)? I called up Scott Barry Kaufman, a humanistic psychologist and author of “Transcend: The New Science of Self-Actualization.” And he had a lot of practical advice. One of his tips: We don’t have to worry about finding our one true purpose. We just need to find a purpose right now and pursue it. This episode will help make a roadmap for finding your purpose and fulfillment while stuck in Quarantine. And after. I write about all my podcasts!
